My Story
Called in the desert, blooming like a sunflower.
My whole life has felt like a birth story unfolding through seasons, each wave leading me closer to the pleasure and purpose of birth. I have had four earthside births, two in the hospital and two at home, and four miscarriages that I know of. Every one of them has shaped the way I serve families today.
Before my second hospital birth, I read Supernatural Childbirth, and it deepened my faith that birth can be free of pain and led by the Spirit, that God's authority can be walked out in agreement and prayer during labor. When I arrived at that hospital in labor, they didn't believe me and tried to send me home. When they finally checked, I was already 7cm dilated. I ended up with two epidurals that left my back numb and spasming afterward. That was the moment I knew I had to reclaim my power in birth.
A dear cousin, a sister to me, birthed her children at home, and watching her walk that out inspired me deeply. My own home births were glorious, truly communal experiences, with my husband and my mother by my side. I believe God knew me before I was formed, and He has been calling me toward this work through every season, even the hard contractions of life, teaching me the gift of surrender.
I'm a mother of four earthside babies, with four more I carry in my heart, and the founder of Precious Heavenly Harvest, a nonprofit devoted to family wellness and community enrichment, alongside Campus Girls at the Gate. It would be my honor to walk beside your family too.

Why Sunflowers
Desert gold, planted by purpose.
I have fallen in love with sunflowers because they grow in the desert. The Hairy Desert Sunflower, also called “desert gold,” is a native wildflower that thrives in sandy, gravelly soil across the Sonoran and Mojave deserts. After winter rains, it blooms into sweeping fields of golden yellow flowers where nothing else seems possible.
That is the story of my call to birth work. I was called in my desert season. What looked barren became the very ground where purpose took root.
“Birth work is kingdom work, because every life that enters the world is a declaration that God is still creating, still speaking, still faithful.”

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.”
Jeremiah 1:5
This verse is the heartbeat behind every birth I attend. Whether your baby is born in a hospital room, your living room, or under the quiet hush of early morning, the One who formed them is present. My role is to make space for that presence, through prayer, touch, advocacy, and peace.
